Individual Grant Writing Assistance

What We Do
We work with scientists at all stages in the development of new applications for funding from a variety of sources, including NIH, NSF, ONR and many foundations.

Through our own first hand scientific expertise as well as that of our network of experts, we are able to draw on a wide range of scientific fields and experience in providing advice and individual assistance in grant preparation and/or revision.

    Experience
BBMC  provides individual grant preparation consultation to applicants for investigator-initiated grant applications and contract proprosals as well as for applications prepared in response to Requests for Applications (RFAs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Program Announcements (PAs). Some examples of funding support requests for which we have provided consultation include:
    SBIR grants (R43s and R44s)
    Regular research grants (R01, R21, R03)
NIH Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA - R15)
A clinical trials data support contract to an NIH Institute
    NIH conference grants (R13)
In addition, we provided consultation to a variety of applicants seeking support through the NIH American Recovery and Reinvestment Act program for R01 Challenge Grants, for construction grants, and for planning grants for research on reducing health disparities in minority populations.
Dr. Braveman has more than 25 years experience providing individual advice to applicants for NIH-supported research in areas including the aging neuroendocrine, immunological and nervous systems, basic and applied behavioral research, and oral/craniofacial/dental health and disease.
Areas of expertise include large scale multi-site Phase III clinical trials, SBIR/STTR research, and subject matter areas including interdisciplinary approaches to addressing biomedical and behavioral research.
